Chartered Financial Analyst®

The CFA® designation is a qualification for finance and investment professionals, particularly in the fields of investment management and financial analysis of stocks, bonds and their derivative assets. The program focuses on portfolio management and financial analysis, and provides a general knowledge of other areas of finance. It's a graduate-level program for investment professionals. You will join a global network of more than 78000 professionals. You will earn a designation recognized all over the world. Clients and colleagues regard you with a presumption of expertise.

The three-year program requires you to study for and pass three levels of exams. If you pass the exams and meet other requirements (practical experience of 4 years), you earn a CFA® charter.

When you sign up for the CFA® Program, you become a candidate. As a candidate, you:

  • Study for three exams using an assigned curriculum
  • Take the three levels of the exams sequentially

Level 1 exams are held in June and December. Level 2 and 3 exams are held in June only.
