Memorandum of Understanding with Total PARCO Pakistan Limited
In April 2022, we signed an MOU with Total PARCO Pakistan Limited (TPPL) for employability. GM SKANS, Mr. Mobeen Tahir and VP HR TPPL, Mr. Kashif Chaudhry signed the MOU. The MOU ensured TPPL’s support for SKANS in terms of trainings required by students to make them work ready plus further giving the assurance that all relevant opportunities at TPPL will be shared with SKANS Placement Office.
We have so far conducted multiple activities with TPPL, all specifically aimed at the employability of our students and alumni.
On-campus Recruitment drives
Interviews for trainees of Developing Employability Training Program were conducted by the HR team of TPPL at our campus for multiple sessions and are on-going on the basis of available opportunities at TPPL. Hundreds of our DEMPS trainees have participated in these recruitment drives. All interviewees were provided detailed verbal feedback by TPPL’s HR team and a couple of shortlisted candidates were taken to the next round of interviews conducted at TPPL’s head office. Multiple fresh ACCA affiliates and finalists were offered both permanent and contractual positions in roles relevant to their qualification.
Professional insight sessions by TPPL
As part of our MOU, Senior Management from Finance and HR Departments conducted Professional Grooming and Interview skills sessions for DEMPS June 2023 session. Mr. Kashif Chaudhry, VP HR, conducted multiple training sessions on Interview Skills. Mr. Mansoor Murad, VP Finance, conducted various sessions on Professional Grooming and Development.
Recruitment drives with Fauji Fresh n Freeze Limited
Fauji Fresh n Freeze Limited (FFFL) has conducted multiple on-campus Recruitment drives for our students. They conduct on-campus panel interviews with senior members from both their HR and Finance. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for the presentation round that is conducted at FFFL Head office, Jail Road.
Quite a few SKANS Students are working at FFFL currently in their Accounts and Finance Departments.
Recruitment campaign by AF Ferguson
One finds SKANS Alumni in great numbers working at various departments of AF Ferguson especially in their emerging ERP Department and in their Business Risk & Consultancy departments.
They conduct information sessions at our campuses regularly for all Strategic Professional level students. Students are guided on the application and recruitment process. They are further provided insight on the functions of each department at AF Ferguson.
Recruitment campaign by Ernst & Young
Structured recruitment campaigns are conducted by EY at SKANS Social media platforms and on-campus. Shortlisting process of the applicants is conducted by SKANS Placement Cell. A large pool of shortlisted applications is shared with EY whenever they require. One can find SKANS Alumni in huge numbers working in various departments of EY.
Session at COTHM
SKANS Placement Cell arranged a Grooming and Professional Dining etiquette session at COTHM for our DEMPS Anniversary batch (Dec-2022) students. It was an immense learning activity along with a lot of fun for students.
PITB Incubation center
A visit to the PITB Incubation Center was arranged specifically targeting strategic business level students. 30 candidates participated. It was a great opportunity of learning and observing how new business are incubated and how they operate in their initial days and what support facilities are available for new entrepreneurs at the provincial government level.
Coca Cola Icecek
A campus drive was conducted in March 2023 by Coca Cola Icecek for the first time in SKANS. CCI’s HR and Finance teams participated in the session. The teams explained in detail about the application process for the MTO finance program for ACCA finalists/affiliates. Multiple students applied on their online portal. Selected candidates will be hired in August 2023.
Annual Career Fair
Annual Career Fair is held at SKANS, 1-Tariq Block campus. Huge participation from the corporate sector is witnessed every year. In the 2022-2023 Career Fair, employers conducted full fledge recruitment drives, information sessions and conducting sessions on detailed explanation of application processes etc. The employers who participated this year included – AF Ferguson, Sapphire Textile, Afia Noor, Orient Apparel, Ijaz Group, Outback Accounting, The Outsourced Expert, Citrus Konsulting, Vision Village, Adroit Accountants, Auto Plus, Haraik Global. Over 200 candidates participated including Strategic Professional level students, finalists, fresh ACCA affiliates and ACCA alumni. Multiple students were offered jobs. Networking sessions were also conducted on the same day by the ACCA Global team who provided their professional insight on the current job market for ACCAs.
